Do you think a native Spanish speaker would have been confused when I said 今又 (ima mata)?

It means "now again" but according to Google Translate, I didn't realize mata in Spanish meant kills. I probably got strange looks but kept on with my 泳ぐ (oyogu) swim. Also what other words in Japanese would you think Spanish speakers would be confused on? I went to Mexico and used a bunch of English, Japanese, some Spanish, and only a recital of 2 to 3 words of German even when I speak more German because most of the time I spoke in English, Japanese anime language, and Spanish to prove that I also know a little Spanish so I probably had no room for German because I wanted to be understood there so I didn't use it as much as I most oftenly used to. Would they also be confused that 傘 (kasa) refers to umbrella, and sounds like casa which means house in Spanish. Or when talking about wind in Italy when my Japanese improves because it's an alternation of the word 風 (kaze) with the e changed to an a to make it sound like the Italian word for house, caza but is spelled and pronounced kaza instead.
